About Texas Land Works

How It All Began

I opened my first paving business in 1997 at 18 years old and already well versed in the in and outs of paving. Like most, I come from a family of pavers. My grandfather was the first to take me to work, where the main focus was to introduce the machines and help me to understand the impact they could have in changing the earth and its landscape. He taught me how to survey the land with the naked eye while teaching me the temperament and uses of each type of earth and aggregate needed to accomplish the task at hand, with a gentle introduction to asphalt.

Through the years, I have learned how to manage each task but more importantly I learned the importance of each step and position and how it felt to be there.Today those hard lessons serve as the basis for how I handle my crew. Understanding how they feel and the circumstances they will face as they grow, brings not only a confidence to their work but an unmeasurable trust.

What We Do

After 27 years in business, the days of the drag boxes and antiquated ways are left in the yard, replaced with the efficiency of modern equipment and our ever-striving effort to expand our knowledge in all aspects of the paving industry, from earthwork and asphalt paving to chip seal and maintenance. We will provide unmatched quality, without sacrificing the respect, work ethic or the outstanding customer service our teachers instilled within us.

Texas Land Works brings you comfort with our presents in our life as well as trust in the work we leave behind. We strive to elevate ourselves with each experience we have.

Paving

We always keep first and for most in our minds basic asphalt teachings. All begins with Raw ground.

Land Clearing

One step most overlooked when purchasing property or developing our dream is Land Maintainace.

Maintenance

Asphalt is made up of course aggregate and liquid emulsions blended to bind them together.

Sitework

Raw ground by nature is faulty and unstable, prone to sagging or sinking, caving and shifting.

Did You Know?

The word “bulldozer” refers only to a motorized unit fitted with a blade designed for pushing. The word is sometimes used inaccurately for other heavy equipment such as a front-end loader designed for carrying rather than pushing material. The term originally referred only to the blade attachment but is now commonly applied to any crawler tractor with a front mounted blade.
